Quite a popular figure in forensics, since this is not the first film about him, and it is likely that someday there will be more. And I must admit, even being aware of him earlier (thanks to the cinema), due to the lack of video footage of Ted's involvement in crimes, still believe in his innocence to the last. In this film, he does not at all give the impression of a person capable of atrocities, and in general we were practically protected from their display. It is striking how confident the jury was that he was involved in the incriminated acts. Is there not the slightest doubt? With all his speeches in an attempt to justify himself, with dubious evidence!? Separately, I want to note the presentation and layout, as well as the selection of actors. In my opinion, the artist perfectly got used to the role, and as a family man, and as a defender, and as a prisoner. Throughout the film, he masterfully copes with his task, and on the instructions of the screenwriter and the director skillfully removes suspicion from himself, creating the impression of an absolutely innocent, law-abiding citizen. Liz is like a cover, like a busy person (in a relationship) and gets along with her daughter. The question is: how honest is he with her (in terms of feelings), although in the case of a negative answer, why bother with calls and other types of connecto? In my opinion, Ted, as a character, believed in his innocence, because he had to repeat it so many times. Maybe that's why, or he wanted to stay clean in the eyes of his girlfriend. An unusual representation of a maniac, which may well be and has the right to exist. The director, like the writer, is a creator, and they don’t necessarily have to copy a real story 1 in 1. Yes, there is no torment of conscience, remorse, the background of becoming bad and evil and episodes of transformation into a criminal, and in general, as a thriller clearly does not reach the mark of “normal”, but do not judge this film work solely as a thriller.
