Conceived as a sharp family drama, this film sometimes slides into the genre of the Latin American soap opera from the series “the rich also cry”. The viewer meets two adult sisters and their elderly parents in a rich family estate at the tragic moment when the father of the family was caught by a heart attack. While the father lies in a semi-conscious state, the women will begin to work out relationships, remove skeletons from the cabinets of the dictatorship, fall into hysteria, and will do so for the rest of the film. Nevertheless, the plot is developing quite cheerfully, many unexpected turns and the ending of the film is not easy to guess.
The theme of feminism is clearly presented: almost all major decisions are made by three women, and men look like a kind of background. In extreme form, one can even see the symbolic transition from patriarchy to matriarchy.
