His series are not related to each other and it is a little depressing - no development of the plot and relationships, and as a result, monotony and boredom. Whatever happens to the characters, in whatever situations they find themselves, the relationship between them will trample on one point. No matter what fault lies between them, no matter what bastard Gary was in relation to his partner, in the next series, no one will remember about it and everything will be the same as it was at the beginning of the last series. Whatever upheaval Gary himself has experienced and whatever conclusions he has come to, the next series will forget about it. No matter how crazy the previous series was, the next one will be about the same.
By the middle of the season, humor and the general game created on the screen cease to surprise or laugh, and watching the series becomes simply boring. It's starting to look monotonous. And boredom and monotony is the worst thing that can happen to an entertainment series.
