“He who does not see a guest in his house knows no joy.” Mustai Karim – The Joy of Our Home
This picture received at the festival "Window to Europe" - a special prize, and at the international military-patriotic festival "Volokolamsk Frontier" - the prize of audience sympathy.
As an operator here is the great and unique Mikhail Agranovich, who shot such stunning films as “Seek a woman”, “In the first circle”, “Azazel”, “Kreutzer Sonata”, “Repentance”, “Mother”, “Little tragedies”.
Moustaya Karima and his amazing story “The Joy of Our Home” (which is based on the movie) I read with my daughter (four years ago). It is about living in the rear during the Great Patriotic War. The movie turned out very soulful, kind. The film was scolded by those people who said that the film was sweetly licked. I don't think so. Everything is here, and sadness and sadness and cruelty and joy.
How did God put the sun in the sky?
- And what? - A golden nail.
We're simple people. So we have simple nails.

Why are the Germans here, sister?
Let them just try to get in. I'm all in pieces. (quotes from the movie)
Children play amazingly, organically and naturally.
If you want to really plunge into a real human relationship with a light shade – the film is for you. Watch the kids. I recommend it. 🙏
