Just after he is released from prison after 25 years, New York mafia capo Dwight “The General” Manfredi is unceremoniously exiled by his boss to set up shop in Tulsa, Okla. Realizing that his mob family may not have his best interests in mind, Dwight slowly builds a “crew” from a group of unlikely characters, to help him establish a new criminal empire in a place that to him might as well be another planet.
The town of Tulsa, if you Google, is much larger and more beautiful than shown in the series. This is a failure of the director and operator. The town of Tulsa, if you Google, is much larger and more beautiful than shown in the series. This is a failure of the director and operator. In fact, nothing but the central square looks like a real city. It looks more like a village. And the whole spirit of the series corresponds to “one-story America”, not a town with skyscrapers and the corresponding scale of events. And gangsters are all small for New York. The series turned out very chamber and seemed to be low-budget. Well, yeah, it was fun.
Plus a point for the scenicly cool and charismatic Stallone, from him in the frame just can not take your eyes off! Overall, it’s a very rough series. Started with comedy, in the process slid to drama and very sagging middle. The beginning and the end are really good.
Stallone's still good. A good series in the spirit of old 90s action movies with Schwartz and Stallone : That's where he played the good guys, and here's the bandit. The plot is a bit like the series "Lillehammer". In short, I recommend it. :
I love Sly. Except the Expendables. And it's really cool that he went to the series. . The series is well shot, the director has extensive experience in top TV series. But... It's Sly, the script. He's better off in dramatic themes, and then a simplification with a stupid one. Disappointed.
