“Loneliness is a chronic cold of the soul. Lonely people, it has been proven, are actually often cold. Many of them, instead of going to a psychiatrist, go to a therapist, they froze from the inside, and do not warm them with a blanket or alcohol. This is a kind of virus, because once they find a soul mate, all their diseases disappear overnight. This is now called psychosomatic. You cannot heal the body by forgetting the soul, and vice versa. (Janusz Leon Wisniewski – Arrhythmia of the senses).
Very sad in its structure animation, but thanks to a small exaggeration in form – interesting. Pablo Bercher himself said that the basis and foundation for this work is the original comic book by Sarah Varon (artist of America, who made illustrations for children's books). The director of “Robot Dreams” is Jose Luis Agreda, who worked on the sura “Bunuel in the Maze of Turtles”.
The music of Alfonso de Villalongi is very touching and soulful, there are still tracks of the 80s in the mix, they harmoniously fit into the general melancholy atmosphere of the cartoon.
In general, intonation and semantic load of this animation resembles the techniques of Wong Kar-Wai. Something elusive in aesthetics slips. In the end, the main theme is loneliness ... acquires a meditative effect.
In general, the production requires the attention of not only children, but also adults. There are too many questions for humanity. And they do. It's good after watching. We watched with our son and daughter. They all understood the idea and the post-functional thinking. 👩💼🤵
I recommend watching.
