Substitution of concepts? Description of the film states that the viewer will see an hour and a half journey to the most amazing places on the planet. Let me disagree. The film turned out to be a journey, but in the most, to put it mildly, unpleasant places of the planet. And in general, not in places, but for the murderous deeds of humanity and the elements.
The wheel of samsara is not only death and the actions that lead to death, which is so annoyingly illuminated in this masterpiece. It's also
birth! But the filmmakers apparently forgot about it, or did not know at all. I will not reveal the topic and spoiler, other reviewers did it for me. I wish I had seen their reviews after watching the movie. I will add only about the faces in formalin, which still keep a lump in the throat. It was like visiting the Kunstkamera of St. Petersburg again.
The film showed 25 countries, but the creators of the picture never bothered to explain what countries they show. It remains only to guess the list that is given along with the beautiful poster in the description. And all this under the creepy musical series in the minor.
In contrast to the short Terra Sacra Time Lapses - Sacred Earth Around the World, Samsara's film fell to the bottom of cinema for me. A score for pessimistic morality, some people need it to get out of the pink shell.
