The film is a cross between a meaningless boring ruby and a cheap clip of a pop song. Think about the latter suggests the staging of fighting scenes, especially the first. A sharp flash of light, twitching installation, a huge room, but only two or three angles. Special effects, without which not one action movie can do now, look mediocre, and an attempt to justify their use in a plot often leads to the appearance of huge plot holes. The visual range in general gives the impression of some cheapness, cardboardness of the world inside the film and disappoints no less than the plot.
Characters are also cardboard. Heroes differ from each other only in appearance - absolutely the same characters, that of good guys, that of villains. There's too much pathos in the dialogue and more clichés. Phrases wandering from film to film, turn “Hitman” into a collection of common quotes from American fighters, and the seriousness with which the actors pronounce them, creates the impression of some unfunny parody of an incredibly cool action movie.
The underground struggle of corporations could become the ground for the development of an excellent spy action movie, but this interesting topic is lost behind a huge number of cliches. The plot follows a certain formula of an action movie, without stepping away from it, without trying to break the pattern, turn off the rolled track or deceive audience expectations. It is incredibly predictable and therefore boring.
This film is a typical one-time action movie, created to make money from the fans of the game, hang in the box office for a couple of weeks and forget. I don’t know if it will please the fans, but ordinary viewers better pass by. It is not worth the time spent.
