A terrible story Doubt is the second Mike Flanagan movie I've decided to watch, after Oculus (which was disgusting).
To begin with, it’s not a horror movie, if you want to watch it for that, you’d better have a look at James Wan’s paintings. This film is a bit different genre. So the story begins quite banal, as for films in this genre, a couple adopts a troubled child, in the families with which he lived, strange things were done. Well, the audience was already set up for a horror movie, but that wasn't it. Then everything happens like in a children's horror story. Dreams of the little one begin to materialize (the idea was reminiscent of Silent Hill, from which you could make a horror movie, but the writer went the other way). I would rather say that the writer of this made a creepy dramatic fairy tale that keeps in suspense from the beginning to the end of the film, and this I think is the best compliment to the entire crew. In fact, the film has a rating
PG-13, but we decided to make it 16+.
The acting I would say a little limp, but the Russian understudy coped perfectly with their work, which still smoothed the impression of the film. I would also like to mention the work of the composer, he created this fabulous atmosphere. I'll be brief.
The picture, I think, is worth seeing at least once.
