P.O.D. ("Payable On Death"), a California rock band performing nu-metal, alternative rock compositions, formed in 1990. In the group: vocalist Paul "Sonny" Sandoval, solo guitarist Marcos "Marcos" Curel, bassist Mark Traa "Traa" Daniels, percussionist (sometimes playing acoustic guitar) Noah Bernard "Wuv" Jr.
The band's album "Snuff The Punk" was released in 1994, two years later saw the release of the compilation "Brown" and the following year - the album "Live". All of these albums are recorded by the musicians in their own recording studio Rescue Records Label. In 1999, P.O.D. began a collaboration with Atlantic Records, under the auspices of which a full-fledged studio debut disc "The Fundamental Elements Of Southtown" was released, in which the songs "Rock The Party" and "Southtown" became quite vivid.
The next album “Satellite” appears in 2001, the video for the song “Alive” falls on MTV, and the composition itself gains great fame, thanks to getting into the charts of many radio stations. For writing the lyrics to the song “Youth of the Nation”, its author “Sonny” Sandoval enters the room of poets of the “Rock and Roll Hall of Fame”.
The compositions of P.O.D. become soundtracks to many movies, for example, “Skateboarders” (“Grind”),
"Matrix: Reboot" (The Matrix: Reloaded), Book of Shadows: Blair Witch 2
"Nicky, the Devil the Younger" (Little Nicky) and others.
In 2003, the band released another album called Payable On Death. Three years later, the album “Testify” was released, in which songs such as “On the Grind” and “Goodbye For Now” soon become hits, conquering the tops of almost all the world charts. In 2008, a rather lyrical compilation "When Angels & Serpents Dance" appeared.
