A neighbor brings the shocking Heyyar to Istanbul to visit her cousin. However, the apartment was soon stormed by the police. All the adults died. Heyar miraculously survived, hiding in a wall closet. The judge's housekeeper, who lives in the apartment opposite, finds a girl. The elderly man is not happy about what happened, however, leaves the frightened child with him. The conservative “servant of the fatherland” speaks only Turkish and supports the ban on the Kurdish language. Heyyar speaks only Kurdish.
