A poetic documentary about life in a war-torn Chechen village, with the cemetery as its symbolic focal point. The village lives and breathes in unison. The Chechen gravediggers are always busy. Death is an everyday visitor. It does not even matter that yet another war has ended. The people live stuck in a circle of vengeance. They also gather into circles to chant prayers to God. Only the cows are grazing calmly next to the cemetery and the children are happily going about their business. The Chechens' parting words to one another are, "May you come back free!" close

“Where is the human soul? Is it in the heart? In the brain? Or maybe elsewhere?”, wonders an old doctor who has spent his life working at a psychiatric hospital in the Siberian countryside. This discreet and, at the same time, insightful observation of the patients’ daily lives transforms into meditation on the human nature, which is not entirely penetrable. close

One of the documentary directors of the famous channel about animal life Mark Hammond shot a picture called "BBC: Wildlife". Beasts are hooligans, which showed how cheerful and hooligan animals can be regardless of their age, breed and food preferences.
Through this film, any viewer will be able to find the answer to the question of why we humans love animals, especially mammals. And also to understand why in all the world's zoos most visitors gather at the enclosures with such cute, charming and fluffy creatures that can sometimes be very cunning, funny, naughty, bullying and even hooliganistic. Warning for adults: for viewing with children, the picture is not recommended, as it pays attention to the sex of animals, and in very piquant details. close

Interviews with Politskovkaya are intertwined with archival footage and conversations with family members, colleagues and other political activists. close
