Let's start with the positive. Quite a funny plot, a villain-loser who did not receive love and care in childhood, an old scientist, cute yellow creatures jumping around. The desire to take the moon from the sky and become great.
Again, what I think is important for cartoons that kids do watch is no violence, no malice, everything is very nice and cool.
I liked the villain, he turned out to be very real, his words, thoughts, behavior, with only one caveat, turned out to be a real dad, busy at work and realizing that children are more important. There was no real villain who decided to abandon the evil deeds.
Other shortcomings (small defects, not shortcomings or disadvantages) include the following: The villains in the cartoons are shown to be very strange. They do, and they even have a bank. They steal moons and pyramids, but that doesn’t seem to bother anyone. It's like they're in a sandbox, like kids play. Such a world is not realistic. The main character is not a villain from the very beginning of the cartoon. You know, he crumpled two cars, didn't buy cookies from the kids, stole a statuette from Las Vegas. Are these atrocities? Just a dissatisfied man. In the same "Megabrain", our blue friend was better thought out, in it good fought evil, he tried to find his place in the world. Here, Gru does not even struggle with his inner world, because he does not care about atrocities, if it were not for his friend a scientist, he would not be doing this at all.
The conclusion is a beautiful cartoon for children and their parents, from which they can learn that friendship is more important than fame, and good is better than evil. But for children under 11, the story turned out to be somewhat inconclusive. And the idea of orphans is not very impressive, because they also do not look like orphans, rather like spoiled children.
I got the impression about the film that the plot rather resembles the following: three nieces came to visit their very busy uncle, who works hard, but finally understands that family is more important than work and school concerts to attend. For the fabulousness of the cartoon, the uncle’s work made villains (which, almost, were not).
The perfect cartoon for kids and their parents, touching any children on the screen. No more than that.
