You have to love the Lord of the Rings so much to make such a great movie. Peter Jackson looks a lot like a hobbit. I watched the film as filmed not only the Hobbit, but also the Lord of the Rings. Peter Jackson is often there with bare feet.
A hundred times I read a book, I always cry when Frodo goes to Silver Harbour. She even wrote a letter to the publisher, explaining why Frodo was not a traitor, who himself did not throw a ring into the volcano Orodruina. No one, not even Gandalf, took on the mission.
ring. And Frodo's Hobbit was trusted. Honestly, I was shocked when I read who fell into the volcano with the ring.
For ten years I imagined how they all reached this volcano and how Frodo chicly threw the ring into Orodruin.
I didn't send it.
It didn't survive.
But I cry when Frodo goes to Silver Harbour with sadness for the lost ring.

Spectacle again. The third volume is even more epic than the first two, all heading towards an epochal decisive battle between Light and Darkness. And then Peter Jackson and his team did not let up - the battle is even grander than in "Two fortresses". They're worth a lot! Legolas demonstrates the wonders of dexterity, the nazguls fly on their “pterodactyls”, the armies of many thousands converge in battle – all right. Mordor is also on a level - an oppressive infernal atmosphere, monstrous architecture and deranged orcs. Black stones, dungeons, giant bridges and fortresses, lava and impenetrable clouds – everything is fine here too. The scene on Orodruin is full of proper pathos and drama.

The more dubious point is humor. Like the previous parts, “The Return of the King” is flavored with frivolous humor in the spirit of “The Hobbit”, for “Lord of the Rings” is not too characteristic. More often than not, sometimes not very well.

Well, the love line - I already swear at it in reviews for the first two parts.

What I didn’t like was that, again. Well, in principle, watching the second film already understand what changes touched the ending. I have heard that it seems that even Tolkien himself doubted whether it was necessary to bring Saruman’s story to the end that befell him in the book – but I have no confirmation of this information. There are other dubious innovations. Unintelligent and cowardly movie Denetor, whose story instead of a book tragedy turned into an unfunny farce. The scene with the parliamentarian of Mordor.

But all this did not distort the meaning and mood of the epic too much. The main idea remained - the return of the promised King and the victory of Good over Evil (or, more precisely, the inevitable self-destruction of Evil because of its own, Evil, perverted essence). Well, to the ideal creations of Jackson, alas, is still far away.

Result: at level 2. Not perfect, but beautiful film adaptation, which allows you to make an approximately correct impression of the “Lord of the Rings”.
