As a child, Jeeves and Worcester seemed to be a very mature and serious movie, but even when you understand all its comic and seriousness as an adult, you get the most pleasant impressions from watching.
Large and serious affairs of 30-year-old rich gentlemen today seem quite blatant childishness, involuntarily there are parallels with domestic creativity dedicated to the decline of the nobility. In Britain, of course, this process was much more gentle and smooth, hence the cheerful tones of what is happening.
The classic British atmosphere is off the scale - posture, costumes, sayings, scenery - everything is extremely well selected.
Compositionally, each series can be perceived as a separate film. With a duration of about an hour, the series keeps a slow and staid manner of presentation, does not poke the viewer’s nose into the facts and does not chew everything that happens. So comedies are not made anymore, but a pity.
A classic of the world telematography. I was very disappointed when it turned out that the seasons are only 4, and those are short. As a child, it seemed like there was a 50-60 series.
