At the time of release, The Key to All Doors was a richly filmed horror movie with an unbeaten theme.
The director did not stint on the beautiful views of the surroundings of New Orleans and the local flavor. The story was unpredictable, and hoodoo was a crooked translation of voodoo.
The movie looks good today, the only thing is that the plot has become much easier to predict, because over the years since its release, many similar stories have appeared.
This does not diminish the merits of the film.
