How great that in the era of sequels-prequels-Marvels and other franchises, you can watch the old classic movies and enjoy it. I was watching Rebecca. First, the literary basis attracted the most famous (semi-)detective Daphne Dumourier, the plot of which made small, but changing the essence, changes. Secondly, purely cinematic charms - venerable director, great actors, the cool work of the operator (don't forget, the film of 1940) and the composer. Changes to the plot to me, familiar with the original story, seemed very appropriate. It is also important, in my opinion, that the film is not drawn out, the plot is smooth, while leaving time to get high from nature, castles and other visual effects.
