The Soviet system, frankly laid out on shelves. The Party, in leading, delves into all questions and solves them correctly, controls everyone and directs everyone in the right direction, appointing itself for all this - then it seemed a natural order of things, doubt, if it crawled out, the correctness of which would cause astonishment. Characterized by a tragicomic episode with George Stile and a strict secretary.
The economy is being cheered up ideologically correctly – without market regulation – in a corporate-Soviet way: the Party, with a stick and a carrot, stimulates the “red directors” – who react to this to the extent of their reasonableness and career ambitions (inconceivable without membership in the Party) – to “search” internal reserves in the course of “social competition”, taking on obligations to exceed production plans. Inevitably arising at the same time, due to entering into conflict with the laws of nature, zagogulins are the subject of intense proceedings in the corridors of power of that time.
A film made in style definitely has cognitive value. Avant-garde soundtrack. Color, solid winter twilight, to become those years, painfully dull. The party is assembled and businesslike, but the pathos forward to the victory of communism is no longer felt.
