Ridley Scott's 1991 film Thelma and Louise is considered one of the best films about so-called female friendship. I saw it yesterday. I cannot say that the characters of the film were close to me and that I felt sympathy for them, such people cannot be close to me by definition, and I have no sympathy for them. But the implementation of the plot by Ridley Scott with the participation of such famous actors as Susan Sarandon, Gina Davis, Harvey Keitel, Michael Madsen, Brad Pitt seemed to me quite interesting, besides it was shot well. This is the favorite American genre of road-movie - two friends, who sobbed their boring everyday life somewhere in the province, decided to relax a little and went for a weekend to a friend of one of them, seemingly fishing. Since neither of them was particularly intelligent or foresighted, especially Gina Davis’s character, they began to get into various criminal situations, each of which only aggravated their situation. The ending, shot on a very wide scale, unfortunately, is very sad.
