Takumi Furukawa's Japanese war film Torpedo Men takes place on a submarine in the South Pacific during World War II. This is the story of four young members of a special unit who voluntarily sacrifice themselves like cannon fodder using special human-powered torpedoes "Kaiten". During a fierce and exciting struggle, human torpedoes sank several ships, among them the famous Indianapolis, carrying atomic bombs dropped on Hiroshima and Nagasaki.
