The First World War in the last few years has again become a popular theme for movies and games. 1917 was one of the first expensive films of the war. Today, after the Western Front, there is no change – it looks frankly weak and slim.
It is not clear what the director wanted to achieve. To shoot everything like one plan and take, so to add realism and the viewer had the feeling that he too went on this journey with the main characters? So why would you do that with such a scenario?
