Troubles in the service forced the main character of the painting “Chef”, a police colonel, to leave Moscow for St. Petersburg. Together with him, his family goes to Peter – his wife Olga and 16-year-old son Paul. In the new place of the hero of the film and his relatives are waiting for a lot of difficulties.
The colonel is distinguished by a tough character, demands on himself and others, which was one of the reasons for his transfer, and therefore at home and at a new workplace, in the police department of one of the urban areas, he is called Chief. Having taken up the post of head of the police department, the chief launched a fight against corruption, which is far from everyone who surrounds him likes.
His wife Olga is not doing well. Not wanting to stay at home, a woman tries to start her own business. But the business in which she invests is losing. At the same time, various criminal organizations are trying to influence the Chief through his wife.
