Martiros Fanosyan’s short drama “Your Brother Valentine” is based on the story “Where the Semyonov Regiment” written by Konstantin Vanshenkin, the author of several famous Soviet songs. The film is dedicated to the last day of the eventful life of Professor Anatoly Sukhanov (Anatoly Romashin. In a lecture he gives to students, he quotes poems by Pushkin and Delwig. Reflections of the poets and the mood that their lines carry, awaken in the professor memories of his life and of his twin brother Valentin Sukhanov, who died during the Great Patriotic War.
