- I wasn’t thrilled with the first reboot movie either, but it was more interesting and more impressive. This is mediocrity. It is clear that the entire film franchise MK is every time an attempt to layer the interesting around a stupid fighting tournament. The task is not easy, but in the first film the remake seemed to be layered more interesting. Here I remember only the jokes with Johnny Cage and the episode in the village of toothy Baraki. Kitana, which made a bet, turned out "neither fish nor meat" (fan to take away from her, and immediately -100 to charisma). However, like many other characters: they are just no walking pictures.
- One of the pros is this. Great attention to visual effects, scenes of fatality and makeup specifically Baraka (it turned out well). Humor around the image of Johnny Cage, played by GG from The Boys. References to games in terms of battle scenes and iconic animations (there was a rather funny episode with a long-staggering fighter before he fell).
The biggest drawback, in my opinion: Where did you put the main musical theme "Mortal Kombat"? A familiar motif appears somewhere in the middle or near the end of the film for a few minutes, and in the credits a little bit. The music I have is not remembered at all. You're doing a fanservice, and that's where you're obviously screwed up (maybe I just sat down to watch the soundtrack, well).
