I haven’t enjoyed American cinema for a long time! Michael Jay White's movies are both good and incomprehensible. This is a good movie. Very much! Old school rules. Black is black, white is always white. To avoid being accused of racism, let’s paraphrase: the good are always good, and the bad are always bad. No halftones. And that's great. There's nothing so ambivalent. Fights are level. Shooting is present. The talion principle in all its glory. What else does a viewer need to grow up on films with Van Damme, Schwarzenegger and Michael J. White? I repeat, such a good, star-striped movie was not long ago. So if you like a grinding movie with a straight as a stick plot, and this is not always bad, by the way, then this movie is for you. That's right for me. By the way, you can come up with a sequel, because from the mouth of the main villain, the same comes out: “My friends will come to avenge me!” (Or something like that). But the police on the island, to put it mildly, are not thin. They don't have armor. That's how you live well! And we, naively, think that only we have these... no, overseas too, you know. But I was distracted. I wonder if scriptwriters know that all representatives of the executive power from mayor to governor are called by the Russian name Akim in Kazakhstan.
