A very strange and depressing social drama from the EU, in this case Germany. The presence of edifying tablets at the end of the film becomes obvious in the first half of the timekeeping.
In itself, Calendar Killer is more like some villain from Scooby-Doo, not only by name, but also by broken logic. The communication of the victim with the helpline operator and the story she told seems completely implausible and made only for the sake of edifying the viewer.
And the edifying background is here for the simple reason that it is agitation. The predicted epilogue with statistics (one in four German women was raped by their own husband) and the ending leading up to it, where the maniac becomes almost better than the tyrannical husband, turn the movie into some kind of parody.
The reasons for the heroine’s dependence on her husband are also unclear, to a direct question from the operator of the hotline, she says that women do not abandon their husbands because they may be in financial dependence on them, but this is definitely not her case, at the very beginning of the film she is called to continue a promising career as a lawyer.
The only advantage of the film is the atmosphere of some delirium, as in the dialogue about men's pants from the domestic show Detectives. Here at this level almost all the interaction between the characters.
A fierce thrash, which you can look like thrash, and pity those who perceive such stories at face value.
