Honestly, since 2009 (Drag Me To Hell) I don’t expect anything special from Raimi. But I still look and hope, what if?
A disgusting boss and an exemplary subordinate change roles when they find themselves on a desert island. Two-thirds - a solid attraction, blackish fun. McAdams demonstrates an enviable acting range, O'Brien is not so strong, but looks appropriate, the dynamics of their relationship is intriguing. However, the last third, despite the accelerated action, looks lost. Screenwriters try, let’s say, to turn the audience’s sympathy by 180 degrees, but as a result, both characters already seem equally disgusting, and therefore it is not particularly interesting to watch.
