A long time ago, in a distant galaxy, there were ... Star Wars A consular ship stole the plans of a sinister death star, but things went a little wrong and they were caught. Princess Leia was captured by the Dark Lord Darth Vader. But she managed to send two small droids to earth, which are destined to play a key role in this war, namely to deliver the plans of the star to Obi-Wan Kenobi, but before that they fall into the hands of a young boy Luke Skywalker, and this begins their long journey.
In my opinion, the brightest and brightest (in the sense of good) episode of this series. If, for example, “The Empire Strikes Back” from the very first frames catches up with sadness and the whole atmosphere becomes something gloomy, everything is saturated with the “dark side of the force”, or the same third episode, in my opinion, the darkest episode of the series, is shot in the same vein. The fourth episode is qualitatively different from its followers. I would not call this film some kind of dystopia, although, of course, he is very thoughtful, but just the first film Lucas did not seek to draw some of his new world, but after the grand success of the first part began dystopian drawings, which, by the way, the followers of this film are qualitatively different in this respect from this film, then this film is completely absent. Maybe it's for the best. After all, we already have a space odyssey.
The plot turned out great. Although it all boils down to a movie about princesses and princes, and the rescue of these princesses by these princes from a tall tower, and in this case from a prison block. But in fact, the film is much deeper than this at first glance, the story. The film has a perfect political situation, or rather created from scratch. The rebels are fighting the empire. And of course, the last battle, everything is coolly done, but we will talk about it later.
The cast is well-chosen. I especially liked the supporting role played by Harrison Ford. Of course, in the role of Indiana Jones, he looks even cooler, but compared to the other actors of this film in the image of Han Solo, he has enough charisma for the rest of the cast. And Darth Vader, of course. I don’t know what actor he played, who was stuffed in that suit, but if he wasn’t there, I don’t even know. He is simply the embodiment of all Star Warriors. You can even say that it is a symbol of Star Warsa. It is no coincidence that he even allocated a whole film for his soloing (I am talking about the third episode).
Another feature of this film, and perhaps the main feature, is its visual range. The whole picture is so perfect, especially for this period of time, that there are no words. And how brilliantly executed the costume of Darth Vader. And the final battle... For 11 million in 1977 to make such a miracle. That's great.
I’m pretty sure that anyone who should have seen this movie has already seen it, so my closing speech will not be long. Of course, the film is a legend, many more generations will watch and enjoy it, and not only A New Hope, but also the other 5 parts. Dedicated to all those for whom Star Wars is not empty words. And this film, of course, I give the highest rating.
