Hooligan "black" comedy by Spanish director Jose Maria Forque :
The film is both aching and funny.
But under the guise of comedy lies a drama about the life of a psychopath, voyeur, fetishist, jealous and pervert Anselmo (Gabriele Farzetti), his faithful but proud and losing patience wife Camila (Ingrid Tulin), and his seemingly ridiculous and timid friend Lotario (Maurice Ronet).
According to the plot, the film, for nothing that it is a comedy, even resembles the film Peeping (1970) by Franco Indovigny with the participation of Mastroianni, Lizzie and Dalton. We have only recently discussed this film. And they saw a story about the same psychopath who sets his wife up with another man, looks after them and tortures them and himself.
The film can also be considered the forerunner of Jacques Dere's film Pool (1969). Since all the events of the picture take place under the bright southern sun at cool waters.
But in fact, the picture is based on a false novel from the novel by Miguel Cervantes “Don Quixote” – “The Tale of the Reckless Curious” (in some translations – “The Curious Impatient”).
However, Forke turned the grim warning story into a psychosexual farce, both graceful and risky.

But again I was surprised by the wonderful actor Maurice Ronet!
