On April 29, 1932, Yoon Pongil, an anti-Japanese fighter who fled to China, detonates a bomb at a party where Japanese soldiers stationed in Shanghai celebrate the emperor's birthday. Many high-ranking Japanese officials were killed in the incident, including Japanese General Shiragawa, and Japan suffered a major political blow. He went through all sorts of hardships in prison, was executed, but to the end he held steadfastly, not giving up his will for the independence of his native Korea.
