In the distant years of 1968-1972 practiced the screening of films for free in the courtyards of houses, often without screens, but just on the walls of nearby houses.
Usually, these were meaningless films that took place almost without an audience. But once in our yard, and it was in the city of Sevastopol, on Istomin Street, film distributors came to our yard and launched the film (on the end wall of the house No. 29 of the above street) "Uncle Kolya Goes Home." It was a film about the consequences of undisciplined behavior on the roads. It would seem boring, but the way the artists played (inimitable and magnificent Alexander Kozubsky and Igor Yasulovich), the plot, thoughtful phrases so captured the casual audience that after a few minutes a huge number of people gathered and I literally had to squeeze between adults. The film looked in one breath, literally fascinated, and when it ended, people began to demand a repeat!!!
After the premiere, this film was brought to our yard several times and every time a huge number of people gathered for each viewing, who at the end of the film literally applauded and demanded a repeat!!!
And we, the children, after this film, the favorite game in the yard was a game called "Uncle Kolya Goes Home"!
Now I am 58 years old, and of course I have seen many different films, but I always say that my favorite film is Uncle Kolya Goes Home!, and my favorite artist is Alexander Kozubsky!!! This movie has been the theme of my whole life! Thank you to the creators of this movie!!
At the moment, this film is not found, it seems to have been erased from cinema, but it continues to live on in the memory of those people who have been lucky enough to see it at least once! I believe that he will definitely find, and he will be prepared for a second birth and he will take his worthy place among the world’s masterpieces!
