Unexpectedly good.
In general, the beginning of the cartoon evoked great skepticism, and the first 10 minutes I was frankly disappointed, because first, several key villains of the universe were released this time as episodic characters, and this is a leak, and secondly, the character of Robin Damian has undergone degradation. In the latest Batman feature films, he has already passed his denial and hatred, already learned to get along with his own, and now we show him where he is again a pure problem.
After an unsuccessful start, the cartoon suddenly aligns from about 15 minutes, becomes quite serious, beautiful, in general, at the level of other full-length films about the League. Not as good as The Crisis of Two Worlds or The Conflict Source Paradox, which hit the concept, but not as leaky as War or Death, which had no plot at all. A strong middle peasant, not a childish one, but a youth one, with a share of drama, with the theme of family, with several successful jokes (and several unsuccessful ones). The villain, as it often happens, is clichéd to the limit, but the authors still worked on him to have some interest.
Well, a small observation of the well-worn viewer, not in plus or minus. Beastboy received his powers from Miss Marcy, he appears only in the second season of Young Justice, but here the events clearly occur before the Martians are mentioned at all and the nature of the Beetle has not yet been established. That is, we have a contradiction in the biography of Beastboy. But I understand the authors – it is simply impossible to shove so many characters with their sub-settings into one movie at once.
