When watching a film, not that arbitrarily, but even deliberately did not want to draw any analogies with films of similar subjects. "This Is England" is more down-to-earth, with more real nationalists pursuing their exact goals, in the form of teenagers starring. Young Thomas Turguz played a great role.
The British atmosphere of the film is felt from the beginning. There is no Hollywood pathos, everything happens absolutely calm and measured. Meadows does not scare any harsh reality, but only shows the viewer the story of an ordinary boy whose father made up the number of those 258 soldiers killed.
What should a 12-year-old boy think, who has almost nothing but a caring mother and good memories of his father, when he suddenly has friends who defend the interests of his people, his nation?
