The second half of the film seemed to me rather crumpled, very quickly they understood what they were dealing with, although in general there was no reason for this. But in general, the impression of the film did not spoil much. The idea of the film is horribly banal, there are stamps everywhere and I counted about 10 films in which I saw sometimes something similar, and sometimes identical. But it's just a script. The second thing to judge about a movie is how it is presented. Today's cinema does not please us with good horror films, well, "Gates" stands out on a general level. What? First of all, the atmosphere, when you are in constant tension, when you do not know what will happen next, although you seem to guess.
In this film, you will find uncertainty, terrible clowns (resembling a Jigsaw doll dressed in a harlequin costume), little fearsome girls. I don’t know about you, but me, the sight of a girl crawling into a hole without a bottom, is more preferable in horror. much more than the views of hundreds of liters of blood and kilograms of meat, as in second-rate films like Jigsaw.
If not for the similar plots with many other films, the rating would be 10, but now only
6 out of 10
