It's a blatantly stupid movie. Stupid at everything. So stupid that it was unexpected, because the director is Hoblit, a year earlier shot the breathtaking Fracture.
The attempt to cut down the hype on the subject of computers and the Internet had a terrible effect on the whole film. From a technical point of view, everything is terrible - because throughout the plot, the criminal collects views on his streams. How do you become a multi-million-dollar audience? It is very simple, because the domain name does not change – the FBI can only extinguish servers found over IP, and only in friendly countries, and the server in Russia is no longer available. It is impossible to take away a domain name in the .com zone, because someone said that the Internet is a free zone, and you can do anything there. I don’t know why there is a cybercrime department.
It would seem, well, this is not the first time there is a film in which the computer part of the case is shown disgustingly. Alas, the problems do not end here, because the “Leaving no trace” attacker by the choice of victims immediately indicates his identity. The motivation is to take revenge on those who mocked the suicide of a relative. The ridicule was the media coverage of the process. Yeah, that's how it goes -- a man gets shot in the forehead, and then everybody throws a blues to a friend at breakfast and has fun.
Very bad. Look, if only for laughs.
