James Foley was born in New York and trained at New York University and at the University of Southern California Film School in Los Angeles. He made his film debut in 1984 with Reckless, starring Daryl Hannah and Aidan Quinn. For the performance of one of the roles in his film "The Americans" ("Dealers"), Al Pacino was awarded the main prize of the Venice Film Festival as the best supporting actor. Among other famous films of James Foley can be called “Four”, “How it gets dark, dear”, “Corrupt”.
