American director Mick Garris was born in Santa Monica, California, on December 4, 1951. When the boy was 12 years old, his parents separated. Mick and his mother left for San Fernando. He was also a member of the band Horsefeathers Quintet. In 1977, he was hired by Star Wars Corporation. He was only a secretary, but the owner of the concern was George Lucas. Mick took the chance and soon became a co-writer and host of the Z-Channel television program Fastasy Film Festival. His show was attended by famous actors and directors.
In 1980, Harris joined the Pickwick-Maslansky-Koeninsberg agency. There he participated in the creation of paintings “Scanners”, “Howl”, “Thing” and others. He became connected and earned a name.
