His film-directing, production, screenwriting and acting career began with his studies at the University of Michigan, where he and his older brother Ivan organized their own film society.
After graduation, Sam teams up with his classmate Rob Taper (the future producer of all his films), takes the actor of his future films Bruce Campbell as partners and together with him creates a new film company Renault Pictures.
Raimi's first movie became
"Evil Dead" 1979. After the great success of the film with a gap of several years, the release of 2 more sequels of this horror film followed. The first film turned into a trilogy!
