Forest Whitaker was born on July 15, 1961 in Longview, Texas. He graduated from the California Polytechnic Institute, the Music Conservatory at the University of Southern California (dramatic and opera art), the London Drama Studio (Berkeley branch). He made his film debut in Fast Times at Ridgemont High (1982).
