At the age of 15, he got a job as a turner student at the factory where his father worked, in the autumn of 1941 he entered the Aviation College named after S. Ordzhonikidze and again began to engage in amateur artistic activities. In the third year, Eugene got into the Moscow Theatre Studio. It was the time of his self-assertion: Leonov found his way in the company of outstanding artists and in 1948 was admitted to the Stanislavsky Theatre. After 20 years, the actor moved to the Mayakovsky Theater, and later to the Lenin Komsomol Moscow Theater.
