At the age of 15, Jacqueline took care of her mother, who developed multiple sclerosis. By that time, her parents were already divorced. At the age of 16, the young actress moved to France to learn French before going to college, but instead took up filmmaking. In order to pay for acting lessons, Jacqueline Bisset got a job as a model.
She started her modeling career in London when she was 18 and worked with some of the most famous photographers.
She began her film career in 1965, when she appeared in Richard Lester’s The Knack...and How To Get It. Then she began to be offered small roles in low-budget films, and then the main roles.
In 1967, she was invited to star in the movie Two on the Road, on which she worked with Albert Finney and Audrey Hepburn. The next work on her account was a painting.
