Angelo Borrini. Lino Ventura (real name - Angelo Borrini) was born on July 14, 1919 in Italy, in Parma. This hoarse-voiced actor, formerly engaged in boxing, was as if specially created for the roles of “cool” cops and bad guys. He made his film debut in 1953 in Jacques Becker’s gangster action film Don’t Touch the Prey, and by the end of the 50s he had already starred in French and Italian films.
