Anne Bancroft (real name - Anna Maria Louise Italiano) was born on September 17, 1931 in New York (USA). She graduated from the American Academy of Dramatic Art and the Acting Studio in New York, as well as the Women’s Directing Workshop at the American Film Institute in Los Angeles. She worked on television and made her film debut in 1952 in “You Can Enter Without Knocking.” His success on Broadway in 1958–60 (especially Arthur Penn’s The Miracle Maker) secured Bancroft’s career in Hollywood.
