Alexander Fedorovich Borisov was born on May 1, 1905 in Moscow. In 1927, he graduated from the studio at the Leningrad Academic Drama Theater, where his mentor was Yuri Yuriev, and was admitted to the theater-studio, and in 1928 became an actor of the main troupe. His first major role on the stage was Boris Volgin in “Chudak” Afinogenov; in the theater he also created vivid images of Pavel Korchagin in “How steel was hardened”, the impostor in “Boris Godunov” by A. S. Pushkin, in the plays of A.

Alexander Fedorovich Borisov was born on May 1, 1905 in Moscow. In 1927, he graduated from the studio at the Leningrad Academic Drama Theater, where his mentor was Yuri Yuriev, and was admitted to the theater-studio, and in 1928 became an actor of the main troupe.
His first major role on the stage was Boris Volgin in “Chudak” Afinogenov; in the theater he also created vivid images of Pavel Korchagin in “How steel was hardened”, the impostor in “Boris Godunov” by A. S. Pushkin, in the plays of A. Ostrovsky. For his theatrical works, the actor was awarded the State Prizes of the USSR and the RSFSR.
In the movie Alexander Borisov starred since 1937, debuting the role of Belov in the film “Dnipro on fire”. The actor played more than 20 film roles, on his account the title roles in the biographical films “Academician Ivan Pavlov” and “Musorgsky”, he also starred in “War and Peace”, in comedy films “Faithful Friends” and “Maxim Perepelitsa”.
In 1960, Alexander Borisov, according to his script, staged the film “Meek” (according to F. M. Dostoevsky).
In 1981, the actor was named Hero of Socialist Labor.
Alexander Borisov died on May 12, 1982 in Leningrad.
