Peter Stormare was born on August 27, 1953 in Arbra, Sweden. In 1990, Peter received a tempting offer from the Coen brothers to play in the film Miller’s Crossings, but the actor refused the role, as he could not leave Sweden for a long time because of a contract with the theater.

Since 1991, Peter Stormare has worked mainly outside his homeland, often playing on the stages of theaters in London, New York and Tokyo. After successful productions in the elite London theater "Almeida" he gained popularity in English-speaking theater circles.
