Honored Artist of the RSFSR Irina Murzaeva is the “author” of the image of a comic old woman who managed to “develop” a whole system of work with an episodic comic female role. And at the same time, she was very intelligent and restrained in ordinary life. And also - unusually principled, which more than once "unfolded" her life to all one hundred and eighty degrees.
The future actress was born on May 15, 1906 in Krasnoufimsk (Vyatka province). Both of her parents were engaged in teaching: her father was a painting teacher, and her mother worked in the primary education system. When Irina was still a very young girl, her family moved to Moscow, where her mother was appointed head of an orphanage on Shabolovka. So they lived: they worked on the second floor, lived on the first. And my father organized a shadow theater for the children of the orphanage, and Irina plunged into the world of art.
While still a gymnasium student, Irina began to study in a drama club, which was led by the future master of Soviet cinema Nikolai Plotnikov. He frankly told the girl that she would not become an actress and Irina immediately decided to prove the opposite. Decided and entered the Moscow State Theater College named after Lunacharsky, and in parallel began to study at the Bryusov Literary Institute, where she studied for one year.
After graduation, Irina began working with two theaters at once. In 1927-1928 and in 1930-1931 she polished her skills in the Sverdlovsk Youth Theatre and at the same time (1928-1937) was an actress of the theater-studio, led by R.N. Simonov. Here she met choreographer Igor Moiseev, director Andrei Lobanov and master of the artistic word Dmitry Zhuravlev. After some time, Irina began teaching at a studio school, and then became an assistant director.
From 1937 to 1956, Murzayeva worked in the Moscow Tram, which in 1938 was renamed the Lenin Komsomol Theater, and where Irina combined the duties of actress and director. It was here that the comic gift of the actress first appeared when she was busy in productions of “Marriage” (Matchmaker), “The Cherry Orchard” (Charlota Ivanovna), “Our Mutual Friend” (Mrs. Wilfer).
And then Murzayeva drew the attention of His Majesty the Cinema. It all started as a manicurist in
Hearts of Four Irina Vsevolodovna woke up famous. Subsequently, she played about four dozen roles, and each of her “old women” is inimitable and has its own persona. Sometimes the directors asked Murzayev just to be present in the frame – this alone was enough for the audience to have an interest in the film. /
