Yuri Volyntsev was born in Leningrad in 1932 in a family of workers. As a boy, he studied music and dreamed of becoming a conductor. In the army, he was a constant chanter. Yuri Volyntsev was born in Leningrad in 1932 in a family of workers. As a boy, he studied music and dreamed of becoming a conductor. In the army, he was a constant chanter. But not always and not everything works out as you want. Volyntsev’s musical career, unfortunately, did not work out. But it was quite artistic. He entered the Shchukinsky Theatre School for the Rappoport course, and after graduating from the Volyntsev School, he was invited to the Vakhtangov Moscow Academic Theatre. On the Vakhtangov stage, Volyntsev played a great many roles, mainly classical: Borodulin in “Without the Guilty of the Guilty”, the King in “Cinderella”, Brigella in “Princess Turandot”, Viscount Bolingbroke in “The Glass of Water”, Glov senior in “Players”, etc. He was a brilliant comedian.
In the cinema Yuri Volyntsev starred not very much, in his filmography about 20 roles in films, many of which have become popular, and, as they say, box office:
Major Whirlwind "Resident Mistake", "Capka", "It rains again on Deribasovskaya, or Brighton Beach". But Yuri Volyntsev is better known to the audience as a Mr. Athlete from the once very popular “Kakutka 13 chairs”. He was also remembered by fans of the TV show “Fitile”.
Yuri Volyntsev worked a lot in animation - he voiced cartoon characters. The wolf in the cartoon “The Smallest Dwarf”, Green in “The Secret of the Third Planet”, Mukhomor in the cartoon “How Mushrooms Were at War with Peas” – they all speak in the voice of Yuri Volyntsev.
Yuri Volintsev did not become a singer, as he dreamed of as a child, but he was a singing actor and delighted listeners with concerts almost until the last day.
In 1984, Yuri Volyntsev was awarded the title of People's Artist of Russia, and in 1995 he became a laureate of the State Prize of Russia.
Yuri Volintsev died in 1999. /
