Don Davis was born in California, USA. From the age of nine, the boy was fond of playing the piano and trumpet, and at the age of 12 he already tried to compose musical compositions. Growing up, Davis tried making arrangements for Anaheim jazz ensembles.
After graduating from high school, Don attended the University of California, Los Angeles, where he continued to study music. There he entered the specialty “composer and music”. Despite his passion for rock and jazz, he became interested in other modern avant-garde trends in music. The university gave him all the necessary skills in music. At first, Donald planned to write music only for club and concert performances, and then decided to switch to film composition.
After graduation, Davis began to communicate closely with Henry Lazaroff (composer) and began to attend orchestration classes with Albert Harris. The latter introduced Davis to film composer Joe Harnell. This meeting was fateful. The famous film composer introduced his pupil to the world of cinema and television, and by the age of 20, Davis became an orchestrator of The Incredible Hulk.
Gradually, Donald became more and more immersed in cinematography. He wrote the music for the project “Underwater Odyssey” by Steven Spielberg, the melody for the television series “Beauty and the Beast”, which later earned the author an Emmy Award, then he wrote the music for the film “Star Trek: News Generation”, “Connection”, “Omen: Awakening”. "Omen: Awakening", "The Matrix", which made Davis insanely popular.
He currently lives in California with his wife and children.
