Vladimir Petrovich Fokin was born on September 8, 1945 in Kharkov. In 1967 he graduated from the Electrical Engineering Faculty of the Donetsk Polytechnic Institute. Vladimir Petrovich Fokin was born on September 8, 1945 in Kharkov. In 1967 he graduated from the Electrical Engineering Faculty of the Donetsk Polytechnic Institute. In 1990-1995, he was the artistic director of the RAPID film studio, and in 1996-1997 he worked as the chief director of the Cascade television company. In 1977, Vladimir Fokin took part in the filming of the full-length detective “Rainstorm”, and his debut in film directing was the short film “Death of an Official” (1978). In 1979, he shot the detective film “Sleuth”, in 1981 he directed the military drama “Alexander the Little”. Widely known to the director brought the political-espionage series based on the novel by Julian Semenov “TASS authorized to declare...” (1984). Later, he directed the television film “Women’s Club” (1978) and the children’s film “Before the First Blood” (1989).
