Carrie-Anne Moss is a Canadian actress who gained worldwide recognition for her role in The Matrix. The actress was born on August 21, 1967 in Bernabie, British Columbia. Together with her mother and older brother, Brooke lived in Vancouver, and at the age of 11 she entered the Vancouver Children's Music Theatre. In high school, she joined the Magee Secondary School choir, touring Europe with them. Returning home, she became a student at the American Academy of Dramatic Arts in Pasadena. In 1985, Carrey moved from Vancouver to Toronto, where he became a model. She travels a lot, and in the late 80s she was lucky to visit Japan and Spain.
